Frequently asked questions
The things trekkers most want to know before they get in touch.
When is the best time to trek in Nepal?
The prime seasons are autumn (late September to November) for clear skies and stable weather, and spring (March to May) for warmer days and rhododendron blooms. We run guided treks year-round and will advise the best window for your chosen route.
Do I need previous trekking experience?
Not for our moderate routes such as Langtang Valley or Annapurna Base Camp. For higher routes like Everest Base Camp or the Three Passes, a good level of fitness and some hill-walking experience helps. We grade every trek so you can choose honestly.
How are your porters paid and treated?
Every porter earns a published, above-standard wage, is insured, carries within a strict 20 kg limit and is provided cold-weather gear and lodging. Fair treatment of our crew is the foundation of how we operate — read more on our about page.
What does the trek price include?
Prices include your licensed local guide and porter team, all permits, in-country transfers, teahouse lodging and three meals a day on the trail. International flights, travel insurance and personal gear are not included.
How do I book, and is my deposit protected?
Send an enquiry and we’ll tailor an itinerary at no cost. Once you’re happy, a deposit secures your dates and the balance is due before departure. We share our cancellation and refund terms in writing before you pay anything.
